I want to make a fruit crumble for tonight's dessert but as usual, I haven't been organised to defrost the summer fruit from the freezer. Can I use it from frozen and just bung into the oven? Many thanks!

Certainly.
You might find that it's a bit wet, you could just put a spoonful of cornflour into the fruit just to thicken it a bit.
You could thaw it in microwave and drain off excess water, before use.
how long does frozen fruit take to defrost? Just realise i was going to make eton mess and have forgotten to take the rasps out of the freezer
Put in microwave on low, few mins., stir, keep an eye on it. Repeat, if needed (called suck-it-and-see method!)
