what's the really bright star or planet visible in the south at the moment, I think its moved over the last month or so from the east.

havent tried it yet prudie, im due to get a new computer soon which should be a bit f a s t e r, and more powerful, so i can help, you could try asking chuck in the tech section.

defiantly not a comet, it was in the east for ages and now in the south for the last week or so.

Not saluting, but I did wave at those buggers in the ISS earlier ... don't think they saw me. :-((
If you have downloaded the latest version of Stellarium remember to go to the plugins part of the configuration and make sure that satellites gets loaded because then it will show the space station in real time (as well as other satellites).

I just started it up again and the CO-58 was bombing across the sky, very cool.
Wow, zoom right out, it's like someone kicked a wasps nest, lol

yes Naz, zoom out and remove both the land and atmosphere
I turned the light-pollution down to 1, and it's still lighter that I can see in my garden ...YAYYYY.

The sky here, looks just like that program ... stunning.
