It isn't about the younger generation that is the problem. That is a popular interpretation that distracts from the truth. There have always been antisocial people and they are not all young.

The real problem is the stupid, antisocial people breed faster than the intelligent, responsible ones. Eventually they bring down civilisation.

This same cycle has gon on for milennia. The decent intelligent people build it up, supporting the stupid and allowing the them to succeed and eventually dominate society where it once again takes intelligence to succeed.
