Deleting previous login details for websites?

When I go to websites like youtube, hotmail, facebook etc. and go to enter my email address or login name when I start to type it a load of different names come up. Is there any way to delete these?

Make sure the offending entry is highlighted, press CTRL and DEL

clear the history or cookies of your browser, it will solve your problem.

In addition to the above, if you're using Firefox: Preferences > Privacy. Where it says 'when using the location bar suggest', choose the 'nothing' option.

If your are using IE 8, theres a tab under tools( usually on the right), deletes as required, cookies,history,temp files
