Just after I did my last post this morning, I got a phone call from an officer at cadets saying that a nearby footie club wanted cadets to be at their match today, to march on, do a 2 minute silence and march off again.

1) why such short notice.

2) why cadets in the first place (they wanted two of us, and i'm reliable so got asked)??????

t was only for a minute, but we had to salute for that time, the start and finish of which was amrked with the refs whistle.

After the teams had shook hands, me being the highest rate there, had to give the orders for our squad (of three) to march on and I had to stop us, dress us and move us to the right bit, while everyone in the stands was watching. At least it only at a non-league team match so there was only about 100 spectators. And then as we were marching off we got applauded.
