Sorry. That was a case of me pressing the button before I was ready! "corpse" was my tentative answer! The clue is "Endless emergencies surrounding introduction off eye shade".(6) I have C*R*S*
While I am on, the only other one I can't fathom is "Unusual in a sea to flow back into river"(8) I have *E*E*A*A. I guess there's an anagram in there somewhere but I'm at a loss to work it out.
If anyone can help I'd be grateful
