Great film, Sam Elliott was in the hotel we stayed at in Mexico but we only saw him from a distance, I love the way he speaks! He made me feel choked in We Were Soldiers just by the way he reacted with Mel Gibson's character.
I LOVE Mask, bought the video lately, still cried after seeing it loads of times. Sam Elliott is soooo sexy. The fox and the hound, SOB! totally agree about the bit in the forest. Never seen the last 15 of The Green Mile properly cause I'm crying so much. Whistle Down the Wind, Champ, oh there are too many
I tend to be the same with the green mile, mycatis,I really embarrassed myself in the cinema the first time I saw it! Field of Dreams is another one that always wrecks me every time.
Two quite old films: The Last Snows of Spring and Kramer Vs Kramer................oh and Watership Down..........bright eyes burning like fire, oh god that music its all I need ....sniff.
The Deer Hunter, and for sure The Hunchback Of Notre Dame - the Charles Laughton one - now that's a man pouring all his own insecurity and self-loathing into one tailor-made part.
emmalee I have to agree, Kramer vs Kramer is awesome. Also Shawshank Redemption and Mask. Truly Madly Deeply gets me each and every time, as does The Color Purple though its never on much, and Terms of Endearment. The last three I only ever watch alone as my husband cannot bear them.
The scene in Railway Children where Jenny Agutter's dad appears through the steam on the railway platform. Gets me every time.
Also the closing sequence in Random Harvest where Ronald Colman remembers who Greer Garson is. Must be a speck of dust in my eye. It's OK, I've got it.
