I have 2 pc's networked which have been working fine.I had Norton Internet Security on the pc the broadband comes into and I had 'zone control trusted sites' set so that I could also get the internet, email and messenger on the other one. However I have just uninstalled Norton & downloaded Telewest's 'blueyonder PC guard' but I can no longer get the internet etc. on the other pc. They are still networked as I can access files but just not get online! Telewest refuse to help me as they quote 'do not support multiple pc's'. I can't seem to find a zone control option on the Pc guard, can anyone help me get the internet etc. once again on my other pc?

If you do not want to use Norton Internet Security then I suggest you install the following two FREE products.

ZONE Alarm - a firewall. There is an excellent free version on their site See http://www.zonealarm.com/

AVG Anti-Virus - anti virus - Again, there is an excellent free anti virus product on their web site. See http://www.grisoft.com/

You could also instal Adaware , another excellent free product. See http://www.lavasoft.com/

Adaware will hunt for spy ware and so on.

With Zone Alarm, AVG Anti Virus and Adaware your PC will be protected and all for free.

vehelpfulguy is correct ( nice one ! ) ZoneAlarm is probably best ( though earlier versions have problems with Windows XP ).

AVG good choice, and its free, cant knock it

Adaware, is good though slows down your PC a bit

Probably the best 3 that you could get, without buying them.
