what is NL1? (or sounds like)

a oregnant person i know has been told they need a scan to assess if their baby has the condition NL1 because both the perents do. does anyone know what condition this is? i've never heard of it and the seach engine hasn't thrown anything up.

A blood test is required to identify this abnormal gene, but a scan of the foetus may show the presence of heurofibromas.
