Mr zzxxee has dry peeling skin on his hands that start off like hard little bumps gradually spreading and peeling as if he has bad sun burn
he says it feels like as if he has been stung by stingy nettles.
Any idea what it might be?
what cream ect would you recomend?

From your description it sounds like a contact dermatitis and possibly he should be thinking in terms of what he is handling that could of caused these symptoms.
Hydrocortisone cream 1% night and morning should sort him out.

If the bumps become itchy and your OH has sweatier hands than is usual, this sounds like something I had for several years - dyshidrotic eczema ( or pompholyx).
