Just been reading that the Royal Tournament is being revived after 10 years, though as yet without any Royal patronage or official participation by the armed forces. It's going to feature many of the events it was famous for includilng The Field Gun Run, to be raced between two teams from from the Wellington Colleage CCF, who have apparently carried on the tradition but with slightly smaller guns. I think I might have to surprise the boss with a week-end in London
Jack, its on the weekend 4-5th December, two afternoon two night performances prices £45-£75.
China, there's been no mention of it being televised but if it is I'm sure old enough to know how to change channel if there's something on you don't want to watch
Ah, thought it was going to be on telly, my mistake :c)
And yes, not only am I old enough to turn the telly over, I'm also old enough to have an opinion and I believe it to be dross. It's not a personal attack, just a differing opinion and as the question is in CB, I'm afraid I'm allowed to say it.
I didn't consider it a personal attack china, after all everybody likes different things I've no doubt at all that there are programs you watch that I would not have on the screen and that there are also programs we both watch and enjoy. As to the Tounament is being televised we'll just have to wait and see, I for one will watch it if I don't get to see it live
How can it be called a Royal Tournament if there is no royal patronage? If it was knights in armour doing a bit of jousting I might be more interested but as it is I shall not be watching it.
