Why are some people so bad and inconsiderate when parking?

Arrrggghhh I hate bad and inconsiderate parkers, just had someone block my drive for the last hour while they went off somewhere. Good job they just came back coz i've got to go out in a minute otherwise I would have budged their car out the way.
Has anybody else got any gripes, make me feel better!

Yes, I think that's obstruction and you can call the meter maids if you have any. I had someone actually park in my driveway once and I couldn't do anything about it - it was on private land (mine) so police, wardens etc couldn't touch it. grrr.

Note that it is a request, and so a guideline, not a rule or leislation.

Some people really don't give a monkeys about anyone else. Where I work, you have to go down a bit of a driveway to the back of some houses to get to our office. These house are situated on a 50mph road. The woman in the end house (next to the driveway) owns a huge 4 x4 and her boyfriend owns some sort of pick up. They both park their cars either side of the driveway as close to the edge as possible so when I (and others) want to pull out into the 50mph you have no choice but to just edge out slowly and pray that noting is coming or you'll get wiped out. It hasn't happened yet, but it will. I have asked her landlord (who happens to be our accountant) to have a nice word with her and he has offered her and her b/f total access to the carpark for the offices behind her house but they just ignore it. It is soooooo frustrating!

jno, I would be fuming if someone did that to me, there is a mum who does the school run at my daughters school and always parks on a private driveway next to the school as the owners aren't usually there during school run times, I know if it was my drive I would pay someone to tow her car away and then charge her for the tow.
