There is no way to the father except through the son.
It's not good enough to have accepted Jesus into your heart, you have to be *seen* to have accepted Jesus into your heart............otherwise any old person could claim to have a special relationship with the Lord, in order to get it.
Baptism is the usual route.......

baptism is a joke, how can you take a baby, and promise that it will abide by the Christian faith, it's only around 3 months old, how can you promise that? and then the godparents have to promise that they will make sure the child is brought up as a Christian too!.........it's just ludicrous!..Never happens!.............Christainings are just another excuse for a celebration!.....The birth of a child should be celebrated!........but if you are not a believer in Christianity, then this is not the way to do it!................
I was both christened and confirmed. I had my daughter christened as if she chose to be a practising christian it could have been embarrassing for her in later life. She chose not to be confirmed, which I am okay with.
However seeing how some practising christians behave I don't think baptism will be of much help to them when trying to enter the kingdom of heaven.
