What would you deep fry?

I used to make deep fried pitta bread sarnies. Stuff 'em with ham and cheese-dip in either batter or beaten egg....and fry....mmmmmmm.

Not really deep fried but courgettes and sunstroke sliced and fried in tempura batter make a really nice started, with a tzatziki dip.

LOL......zeuhl.....saw him a year or so ago at a demo to keep open St Richard's Hospital A&E dept in nearby Chichester......no sign of Johnny Depp though. :0)

I thoroughly endorse the deep-frying of mobile phones. A wee while back a 1 Michelin star London restaurant had a notice up asking customers to turn off their mobiles.

This customer came in at lunch time and spent the time going blah blah on the mobile.... When he disappeared to 'the rest room' the chef came out, seized the offending item, deep fried it and brought it back to the table............
