Is a QUEEN duvet bigger or smaller than a King??

I have to get a wedding present duvet this size and have no idea??!

I'm not sure why the actual size matters! As long as you ask the shop for a queen size duvet and it says 'Queen Size Duvet' on the packaging you can't go far wrong!

Since you ask, however, 'king size 'is biggest. (Actual sizes vary but typical sizes might be: Q=102"x86", K=110"x94").

Your biggest problem could be finding a queen size duvet. The Argos website doesn't list any and even specialist supplier Dreams doesn't have any listed on its site. (It might be worth trying one of their shops, though. They might sell additional lines in their stores or might be able to order you one. A full list of all their stores is here:

Someone in a bedding shop explained to me that they changed the UK sizes recently to match the EU ones. So... what was a Queen Size is now a King Size; and what used to be a King Size is now called SuperKing (although that sounds more like a cigarette than a duvet!).

Ursula62's answer makes sense: The Dreams web site lists 'Single, Double, King and Super King', just as she says. I suggest visiting (or phoning one of their stores) and asking for advice.

actually in beds that doesn't make sense in the UK. A king size bed is 5ft wide by 6ft 6 long, a superking is 6 ft wide by 6ft 6 long. We don't appear to have a standard queensize. Here's the info

We have a superking bed (tall hubby and his feet still stick out the end!)

Be warned, the duvets cost �40+ for the cheapest.

Also if you know that someone is buying the pillows, they take 3 pillows across as 2 pillows look daft with space either side :-)
