Government capitulates to Big Business over Migrant Cap
// Business groups have welcomed the exclusion of intra-company transfers (ICTs) from the government's cap on skilled migrant workers from outside the European Economic Area.
Businesses had argued that if the cap included workers from different countries moving within the same firm it would leave them less competitive.
The decision to exclude ICTs follows much lobbying from various industries. //

This is vastly different from what Cameron promised before the election, but good to see that common sense (or the wishes of future donors) has prevailed over Tory dogma. I'm sure you all agree?

// But a key section of the document, seen by the Daily Mail, seeks to address claims that the Conservatives have shied away from the issue of immigration, which polls suggest is second only to the economy among voters' concerns.

Today: scrub all that, we'll just carry on Noo Labours policy. (ever thought you'd been had?)

Bugger the thousands of IT workers without jobs many who have studied for years getting a degree. What are they supposed to do: retrain into another profession? In stead allow these foreign IT workers in for a fraction of the British equivalent wage and give them a 1 year contract. Can you imagine this being carried out...half way through a project and told there time is up....NO....more like an extension on their one year to finish the job and probably stay indefinately.
