I am shortly leaving for my first ever holiday abroad, and i am taking my 3 children aged 11,9 and 5.

I wondered if anybody had any recommendations of places to visit, eat and be entertained, that are child friendly.

Also would it be worth getting a hire car, and driving to any historical places or other towns for a day trip away from the beach.

Ive been to Salou! Its really nice...but as for places to visit....it was that long ago i cant remember.

prehaps there is a touristy site somewhere on it?

Isn't Port Aventura ( theme park) near there?
You must visit port aventura the kids will love it,probably cheaper to book at a ticket office rather than a tour rep it will take you a day to get round. I went a few years ago and you couldn't take your own food in may have changed now. There are also trips to Barcalona
hi
went to salou 2 years ago.
there are plenty to do with kids in salou.
the train to barcelona takes about 90 mins and cost around 5 euros,
port aventura is great for all ages.
there is a little road train, at 2.50 euros for over 8 year olds
as for the beach the sand is fine and warm,
we took two kids last time and we are going back next saturday with four, so it must be good
have a great time .

Hi all

My wife and I went to salou a couple of weeks ago.

It was brilliant, nice walks along the seafront.

The Beaches are lovely, my wife had never been before, she loved it, and wants to go back again next year.

The Theme park and water Park were both great, the kids will love them.

You can also get a coach trip to Barcelona and monseratt.
