OK, so we know Corby and Wellingborough are sh1t holes but what about where the rest of you live? Do you like it?

I live in a village on the edge of Oxfordshire which is alright. Could be worse. Two nearest towns are High Wycombe and Aylesbury. The only thing that could make either of these places better is complete demolition.

Hi, I love where I live. I live in a little village called Kingserswell, newton abbot in south Devon. I have beautiful views of fields & hills, yet am 5 mins to n. abbot & 5 Mins to torquay and only 15 mins from Exeter City. Very lucky indeed. :-)
I've lived in Dover for the past thirteen years. The views are splendid, the history is magnificent, but the little town is very run down and in need of investment. One of the poorest wards in the country is just up the road. One of the more well-off is not that far away - a place of contrasts.
I'm from sunny Sheffield.... Did you know it's the real ale capital of the world?
so so...nice house nice area mad (not in a good way) but harmless and quiet neighbours. Climate too wet.
I live in Whitby in North Yorkshire & live in a quiet cul de sac with a sea view to the front and a farm at the back.
It's murder in summer with all the tourists....but I have one or two seagulls trained up now
Are you one of the Goths that inhabit your fair town, mrs o?
Oh Whitby, lovely part of the world off season...I used to go there in the autumn and stay at a caravan park above Robin Hood's bay...best fish and chips in the world. and Mrs Bothams' tea rooms....I've still got a glass lucky duck somewhere.....
Lol, no carrust - I've got one offspring just coming out of a goth phase and one just going into it.
Xmas is a doddle - buy 'em anyathing black lol
Kiwi or Cherry Blossom mrs_o?
Ooh Mrs O,
I have VERY happy memories of holidays spent near Whitby, especially meals at the Magpie Cafe.
One time we left a packet of ground coffee behind (good stuff from a nice deli). We were going back to London, but the Magpie posted it to us and wouldn't take the postage.
Who says Yorkshire folk are mean?
I used to have a death metal band as my next door neighbours. When they hung their washing out all you could see was a wall of black clothes. BTW, I was in Whitby earlier this year, & we went to the Magpie cafe for fish & chips...bit expensive to say the least! I uttered the great Yorkshire saying...'OW MUCH !!!!
I live on the edge of a large village near Dorchester and have far reaching country views at the front. I would really like to be more rural in the UK but long to live in Spain.
I live 14miles from Perth which i think is the best place in the UK to live -its beautiful and unique just a pity I dont live there although daughter does.
My town is beautiful but its full of commuting would be's from as far afield as Glasgow /Edinburgh,retired peeps from other parts of the UK but not Scotland and junkie gadgies from in the main the West Coast of Scotland or they give the impression thats where theyre from.
I only got to work and Tescos now............................
carrust,
Yous see how we Londoners are spoilt,we though the Magpie was cheap! LOL
Although there are some who denigrate London, one has to say that living at the end of The Mall is somewhat pleasant. Not only that, but one has one's little country retreats in Windsor, Sandringham and Balmoral, should the metropolis ever overpower one.

One's regards,
EIIR
