is their any problem with having the job number the same as the invoice number

I offer a maintenance service to commercial businesses in and around the Manchester area.

when I do a job I input a unique job number onto my paperwork

and when I come to invoice I input another unique number on that paperwork

my question is simply is their any forseen problems with using the exact same number for both job number and invoice number

Well for starters there might be circumstances where you need to issue more than one invoice for the same job

I don't see a problem at all. You could just put a b or c on the end for multiple job invoices.
