That seems a typical shop price. I bought a 4GB recently, paid about £8. Internet should be a little cheaper.

Unless ultra-portability is required, for that sort of money you can buy an external hard with a much larger capacity...

For £45 you can buy yourself a nice 500Gb 2.5 inch laptop hard drive then buy an enclosure for it. Just a thought.
