If you were watching a reality TV goal-scoring or boundary-hitting or putt-holing programme, would you vote for the contestant who refused to wear football boots or use a cricket bat or used a driver instead of a putter and then missed everything because he/she was so bad at it? Actually I do (soon to be 'did' if AW isn't voted off soon) watch SCD because I like to watch competent - often excellent - dancing. If it's just an entertainment show, the BBC should call it something else - maybe Strictly come falling over?
Like I said, I love when people get all pompous about it.
'Well really!, why must the great unwashed persist in keeping this buffoon on the programme - it makes a mockery of the medium of dance'.
Why do you think they invite people like Anne Widdecombe on it in the first place? Do you honestly think they expect a serious competition between her and someone like Alesha Dixon in the same way that the original 'Come Dancing' was a competition?
It's just a show, get over it. I'm going to start voting for her myself.
