As a kid I hated Capt. Pugwash - I much preferred that odd character that looked like an egg with a propellor on top that emanated classical music ...(now what was his name?)

Victor Lewis-Smith originally claimed he had unwittingly repeated the Pugwash error. Somehow he is now the originator...

Not sure if I'm going to take his word for it that he didn't originate them, though. I can't personally say I'd ever heard of this before VLS put it in print, but perhaps ludwig or mike remember it.
