Corrupted Profile - How To Recover - Never Gone On Xbox Live

Hi. Hope you guys can help.

There are a few guides on the above but all require you to be signed on to Xbox Live which I dont and have never had.

To give you the info. I had an xbox which broke. I then bought a new xbox slim and transfered the contents of my old hard drive to this one. All ok so far.

As this xbox slim was at my girlfriends I bought a cheap 2nd hand xbox from ebay to keep at my parents.

I transferred my profile, achievements and saved games from the hard drive of my xbox slim to a USB stick and then popped this into my 2nd hand xbox it worked a treat and stil does. No problem there.

However when I now attempt to insert this USB stick in the new xbox slim it has the corrupted profile message. I put it back into the 2nd hand one and it's fine!!!!

Is there any fix to this????

Strange how it works on one and not the other - need it work on all really so when I go to my girlfriends or friends I can use my profile there.

When I bought it from the dude on ebay he did say it was chipped - does this have something to do with it? My old one was never chipped and nor is my new xbox slim - nor do I have any intention on doing so. I just want the USB stick to work in my xbox slim and any friends houses I go to.

If it was chipped and the guy was selling it, it strongly suggests that MS have 'bricked' the console i.e. stopped it from working.

The console works fine. My problem is getting my profile on my USB stick to work in other peoples consoles

What Mattk is getting at is, the new xbox's (ie slim) have a built in detection for hacked/ or modded games aves, or even chipped xboxs, so any saves or profiles that belonged to such a console will not work on a new xbox. I hope that makes sense>?

Not true - the profiles copied over to my new xbox slim were from a modded console and they wroked fine
