I have what I think is the flu which started affecting me last night, sneezing light headedness, distorted sounds, blocked and runny nose, tickly throat, and cough. Last night I had my first hot toddy which consisted of brandy in a glass and then ginger, nutmeg, cinammon, honey and lemon juice brought to the boil and then poured over the brandy and i must say I don't feel too bad at the moment but can still feel the flu trying to overpower my immune system. My appetite has been normal as I like to eat flu or not. I've just chewed two large cloves of garlic (They really burnt my mouth) and am now having a cup of "Real" green gunpowder tea and will be having a high dose vit c and zinc as well as B-complex soon. I really need to shake this flu as I have got a million and one things to do this weekend, shirley I'm missing something?

"You wouldnt be posting on here if you had real flu."
Cazzz1975 I believe that flu doesn't affect us all the same way and sometimes your immune system counteracts it before it fully develops, also I've had the full blown flu and still stayed on the computer as I can't stay all day in bed for some reason even when ill but going out is completely another thing.

Ummm your diet and vitamins must be up to scratch or maybe you just have a super strong immune system?
jackthehat not quite and hopefully won't get that bad.
My diet is ok...drink and smoke though.
as you're a man with a cold/flu, I suggest you start making funeral arrangements.. just in case.. you know ;o)
I don't think you have flu either. I believe you may have a rotten stinking cold that will make you feel like poo, just as many people get.

Someone once asked me this when I thought I had flu, "Do you feel like you are truly about to die". Me: Not quite. Them: "then you don't have flu".

Either way, I doubt there is very much you can do about it other than let it run it's course.

Sqad not about today?
Suspended already...
Yres ....sqad is about........and it is a "windup"
If you had flu,you wouldnt want to be typing on your computer
If there was a £20 note on the ground across the road, would you go and pick it up?

If you answer yes, then you haven't got flu.
