What has been the worst example of a boss or co-worker you have ever experienced?
What did they do that was so bad?
Worst example i ever had was an ex Boss in a residential home i worked in, when a case of worker/service user abuse was reported and she did nothing as she did not want to tarnish the homes reputation with the inspectors. Needless to say certain people went over her head and she was removed but not before making certain staffs lives a living hell for months !!

a pedigree that that's been overbred and is as intelligent as some of the trolls on here?

i've worked with some right bullies in the past, i remember a manager having a right go at me as i'd used blue pen not black on a particular form, so i re did them in black and she had another go telling me they should be in red, it was constant stuff liek that for about 6 months, then i made a complaint about her and it got 10 times worse!
"Do as I say, not as I do" bosses are the worst. Double standards etc...
How can you inspire confidence and trust in your employees? Your boss should be your role model, something to aspire to. In my opininon....

my partners current boss is a right d1ckhead
he retires in march and my oh is in line to take over his job.
He keeps asking him to come in on days off to do managment training
oh turns up just to be mucked about as boss decides he has to do other things arse wipe thats what boss is known as affectionatley at home!!!
Worst co-workers....many years ago, the young woman who had sex with any man superior to her, to get promotions, and who would come on to co-workers husbands / bf's at work parties, to get one over her colleagues. Nickname Butterlegs.
More recently, the very troubled middle-aged woman who lied and bullied at every possible opportunity.
The worst bosses were the bosses of these two women - the unstable one who ended up sacked with a suspended sentence for theft, and the cowardly one who couldn't and wouldn't deal with the bully.
A friend of mine was leaving his old underpaid job where he had to put with a bully. His first day on his new job, he was taken into an office by personnel and told he was unsuitable. Turns out the bully had contacted his new employer to lie saying he had sabotaged machinery. He was out of work for months. It also shows how spineless the personnel are when they wouldn't investigate further.
Bluddyell Dagman! He should have sued!
I've been lucky with bosses but my OH has not. He lent a friend money to start up a company and years later when some employees tried a hostile takeover my OH went to help his 'friend', and saved the comapny and within a year put it into several million profit. His 'friend' promised him shares, the managing directorship. private healthcare, bonuses and an excellent salary. As soon as the company was afloat he brought in his son as MD. My OH had burnt his boats careerwise on the back of the promises and now spends his time clearing up the mess made by the son and being treated like a lackey by the son. Now the company is in trouble again (son's fault) and the boss has had the cheek to ask my OH to 'save' the company! I've advised him not to as I would rather live on bread, baked beans and eggs and let them sink! They family goes to Church twice a week and consider themselves pillars of the community.

tiger that is awful your hubby must of felt rock bottom :(
Still does, especially as he'd considered the bloke a friend for many years.
Trouble was that he just couldn't prove his innocence, it was his old bully supervisors word against his, he was between unions too so they weren't interested. It did turn out that a year or so later the bully had picked on a young worker and hit him with a piece of wood on his legs. The boy called the police and pressed charges. Don't honestly know the outcome but it was on the local news. There were witnesses too so should have been some justice done.

how awful for him i dont know what to say really !! x
I remember once asking my boss about my schedule and he yelled at me. I answered right back in front of everyone and said to him "who do you think you talking to like that? Don’t talk to me in that tone; all you needed to say was yes or no". Everyone was shock because I never answer back or ever rude to anyone.

sometimes you have to be forthright, just because they have a position of power does not give them the right to go around acting like God !!
The worst bosses was a pair I worked for in my early twenties. They seemed to delegate the work to our department without appearing to do much themselves. They covered this up by being very aggressive and shout at people ensuring others could hear them. No-one in the company liked them and I used to get great satisfaction from this.
