Buffalo WMBR G54 router

I have the above wireless router at home which has 2 computers connected via LAN and also a wireless laptop uses it. The router was switched off over the weekend and since then the 2 LAN connected devices are showing "Network cable unplugged" (which it isn't) and no longer connect to the net. The LAN lights do not come on when a network cable is plugged in.
The wireless laptop still works and so I assume the router is still working. I can connect to the router 192.168.11.1 using the wirless connection but can see no way to diagnose the problem.
I have reset the router by powering it off, waiting a minute then powering it back on again but no joy. I notice also that LAN light 3 is constantly lit up even with no device connected to it.
Can anyone help please, as I know little about home networks?

It does sound like a faulty router TBH, though I would try a factory reset on it first (sure you don't need reminding you'll need to set your ADSL username and password afterwards)
Might be worth checking if there is a firmware update available for it too, if there is see i it will accept the new firmware.

My old D-link was starting to play that game of 'network cable unplugged' and the Lan lights would come on and off intermittently whether there was a cable plugged in or not. If it got switched off for any length of time it would take up to an hour to get back on line, it also seemed to be running very very hot (I think they should put fans in these things), anyway I chucked it and spent £30 on a new replacement. No problems since.
I personally wouldn't export the settings and then import them again just in case it's something in the settings causing it.
All you need are your broadband username and password, make sure it's set to 38,0 for the VCI/VPI and it should connect OK. I would assume that the DHCP range has never been changed from default so you can leave that alone, so the only other thing that needs setting will be the wireless security.
