I have to apologise for getting your hopes up. I've spent the past half an hour checking every source of DVD hacks that I know of, without success for that model. Sorry :-(

Perhaps you could relegate your existing DVD player to bedroom use (or flog it on eBay) and buy a new region-free player for £19.99, post free. Then, when kind-hearted relatives send you...

You need to flash the firmware in the DVD drive to reset the '5 region limit'
Haver you got a normal DVD player? If so, it might be possible to permanently disable the region coding on it, so that you'll be able to play disks from anywhere in the world. It's usually easy to do but we'll need to know the make and model number in order to locate the instructions.

Bit of a thicko when it comes to computer terms Naz what does flash the firmware mean????
As Chris suggests you should find the region disabling code by Googling the make and model of your domestic DVD player along with "region code cracker" or similar text.
There are sites with lists of machines and they're free as well as individual replies.
Saves a lot of wear and tear on your computer too.

Thanks Chris and everyone else for your help. May have to take your advice then Chris and buy another dvd player, suppose I could buy him one with his Christmas money from Aussie.
I'd agree that a cheap region free DVD is the best way to go. Naz is a little outdated with his info about flashing the firmware to reset the region change count, that hasn't worked for ages.
