Anyone else having problems with Virgin 50mb broadband?

I'm on my third router, or will be when the courier turns up!

The new Virgin Super Hub is a great looking creation, but the first one didn't work at all, and the second needs rebooting hourly.

I've spent ages speaking to the Indian "support" desk (free calls), with little success.

Finally found a reset hole, and set it back to default, so it's only needing resets every couple of hours!

Also waiting for the engineer to come & relocate the hub. I had asked for this when upgrading, but the guy they sent was just a hub installer.

Is it just Virgin - what's BT broadband like?

i changed from sky for the very reasons you state

Been with them for 15 years all in - nearly 7 for broadband. Never had any problems (only with my own pcs).

Oh, and mr mac was with bt for 2 years and had endless problems....

Been a customer of Virgin/NTL since it started (cable) and had no problems at all, except for about 2 weeks ago. Sorted over the phone by their Technical section which are UK based in a few minutes.

The only real problem was in their accounting during the changeover from NTL to Virgin, which was appalling, resulting in me throwing all the 'toys out of the pram'. The resultant apology, refund and re-negotiation of my deal assisted me to stay!
