Been watching either Kirstie's Homemade Home or the Christmas version with Phil 'thingy'? I keep thinking I'll try some of the craft things (I know I won't actually get round to any of them) and then realising how much it's going to cost?
I look at them sherrard, and know I could do some of them, but then think I really can't be bothered, I'll buy 'em - to quote Shirley Conran, life is too short to stuff a mushroom.
I've been watching them sherrard and just get jealous that I can't be as clever. I do wonder though who has all the time and money to do the things Kirstie does.
She makes peoples' houses more 'homey' and they are now doing 'Christmas' - really fancied making all the kids a patchwork pillow but have been to the material shops in town for stuff for costumes and it will cost a flipping fortune (but still habouring the thought that I just might get round to it).
Hi Bobbisox - I don't work so I have got more time on my hands than you would think. I think I would like it if I had a hand-made pillow that my mother had made for me when I was little.
sherrard, my SIL teaches needlecraft and she made the most stunning patchwork quilts for her four children's beds. It took months, all hand-stitched, but they were works of art. She makes a lot of 3-d beaded pictures and jewellery too, talented lady.
Bobbi yes, tho the bunting is a tad mouldy now....
Hi Box - don't give me ideas, bedspreads would be brilliant (but I had better start small as I am so un-artistic and I can't sew for toffee - bought a sewing kit last month for the first time (and I am 41)).
