dollys and trends

i had a rag dolly called rosie rags when i was little and felt she was special a one off.
As time went on all the rag dolls flew off the shelf and lots of people had one just like her identical !!!.
I was miffed so went onto the next toy that took my fancy. I had never been one for following trends for toys as a child. Did you ever get caught up in the latest fad as a child if so what was it ?

not toys as such but i do remember playing with these nativity figures made of marbel my late nan had. mary joseph and even the shepherds with tiny little sheep
i spent hours playing make believe games with them !! :)

I loved making things so it was lego and jigsaw puzzles for me. I still love puzzles and I've got quite a few 1000 piece ones.

Why is Lego so expensive? I want to get a few Lego sets for little Tiggs when he gets a bit older. Looks like I'm going to have to buy them now as hell knows how much they're going to cost in 4 or 5 years time!
