MM and KM Links December 2010 [Week 2]

At this point in time (dare I say) it looks like the “Great Thaw” is upon us. The surrounding meadows have patches of green showing through the melting snow. I feel like Aslan after the end of the rule of the Snow Queen. Last week, many of you must have thought that Christmas had come early, when points flowed freely from the treasure chests of King Ulysses.

King Ulysses swears that he will staunch this flow and to get points from him tomorrow will be like drawing teeth! Speaking personally, I rather welcome having lots of points to track through. What never ceases to amaze me is that the same names crop up month after month. So much so that this game cannot be purely luck ~ there must be an element of skill. If only we could apply these same skills to the Stock Market.

I look forward to this second week of the current reign to see how Ulysses II develops when he opens the channel of communication on AB tomorrow at 08.45am and his next set of four words to be linked should be posted at 9.00am. That’s the time when the MM Links challenge kicks off in earnest. Remember ~ early MM hits gain bonus points!

As usual, I ask that you should also look out for the international version of this same game which is called KM Links and kicks off at a very early hour (which is difficult to predict precisely). Consequently, the timing of your posting is deemed to be irrelevant ~ only the number of hits you are able to register. The regular organiser of KM Links comes all the way from Oz ( Roo-land) and is my good friend, “seekeerz”. She is truly the “Wizard-ess of Oz”. She is an incredibly pleasant individual ~ as long as you don’t mention Dentists or Test Cricket!

As I always say ~ “Why not chance your arm at both Link Games?” You have nothing to lose. Both games remain open for most of the weekend and all entries are scored and entered on to master scoreboards to trace progress through each monthly contest.

Yes Crofter, patches of green are showing through here as well and the skylark has abandoned my town garden after 2 days residence. Just the avian plebs today.

Floating on cloud nine - heard on Wednesday evening that son and family are coming from California for Christmas! My feet won't touch the ground for the next week while I try to clear enough space for them.
