I am thinking of upgrading Vista home edition to Windows 7 ultimate edition. Is ti possible to download 7 without losing any of the programmes i downloaded of the internet, as i do not have the software for them and cannot download them on to a hard drive.
Thanks

If you are running vista, you must have USB, so use a memory stick. Actually hard drives are cheap as chips now, so there's not a lot in it. It MAY be possible to overwrrite the software alone, but I know you couldn't with other OS's. Best ask in the tech section.
