just checked out my local weather which during the last snowy weather my forecast was quite off here it kept saying snow but we didn't get any, only place in the uk that didn't I think i'm in south west cornwall right on the coast,

But its now saying snow or rain and snow starting from this friday onwards and the forecast range ends thurs 23 dec as STILL rain and snow???

Anyone else got this kind of forecast is it south west instead of north west this time getting the snow???

yep! im in manchester & i was wondering if we were going to get a white christmas. all the 5 day forecast gives different predictions for manchester. the bbc dont even put manchester on the weather map & we are the third largest city in the england!!!
I think the weather system will give us thunderstorms..............it's just that the precipitation falling from the thunderclouds will have to pass through the freezing Arctic air and will reach the ground as snow.
which is why they don't bother sez :D

I reckon no-one will have a white Chrimbo. We can all hope tho!!
In Bristol our forecast is much the same as yours and we haven't had more than a frost this winter yet, but I never find the forecast that accurate. They gave 2 different forecast on local BBC this morning!

Not expecting a White Christmas - hope not don't want to get snoed in away at my parents!!
My son is in Hampshire at the moment........whether that has any bearing, I don't know.
thats not fair Cazz,,,,,I love the snow
true, bloody snowdome - rowan come nick ours
My daughter has to fly to Southampton on Boxing Day, so we don't want snow in Newcastle.

Meanwhile, looking further into the future, it looks like most of the country will be swathed in the white stuff on December 25.

Jonathan Powell, a forecaster with Positive Weather Solutions, said: "Our models are showing we will see a white Christmas.

"The most likely places to have one are Scotland, north-east England, the east coast, the South East and London. It's going to happen."
According to the Met Office-there is no snow predicted for Plymouth-where I am-except for tomorrow morning. It's to be quite mild through Saturday.

Just checked the forecast for Dover for the next 9 days - 40 mph winds on Christmas Eve, that'll be challenging for Santa! We're expecting snow at the weekend again, but if you look at the BBC weather forecast it seems to be sweeping down from the North across the whole country tomorrow.
this is the site I'm looking at.... http://www.weather-fo...over/forecasts/latest
think we'll be ok here on the coast!...............fingers crossed!.........I hate the white stuff, Christmas or not!............
I like it if I haven't got to get to work!
I heard the weather forecast yesterday it said it would start Thursday (tomorrow) in the south east. Which I thought was fortunate because we always seem to get it in the north east
I've looked at the met office forecast again...and it's rain and 8 deg for us tomorrow.
