How can I find out what version of IE i am using? Where can I download the latest version assuming I am out of date? Thanks

In Explorer click on Tools then click About and it will tell you which version you have. Should be version 6 If you are using Win XP. To update you can do it via Microsoft Update or use Windows Automatic Updates.

If you arent using XP i would have thought that you can still update via the Microsofts site

I've been updating a few of the computers at the school where I work, and you can definitely still use MS Update on W98SE and W2000 computers!

If you're serious about wanting a decent browser, then it's time to forget IE anyway! There are plenty of free alternatives so why not try one? (You can always go back to IE if you're not happy).

Like many other ABers, I use Firefox. Better designed than IE, more stable than IE, better-supported than IE, totally free (as are the myriad of optional plug-ins available) and probably best of all, faster than IE.

OK, it's not actually an answer to your question, as such, but it might just improve your internet experience!
