scratch on lcd screen

its only a small tv that I use in the bedroom, but I was wondering if I would be able to get the scratch out or would it be worth claiming on my household insurance.

Not worth claiming really. On most policies if you claim 3 times your premium rockets and noone else wants to insure you for 3 to 5 years. I claimed for my roof which blew off the garage in a gale my 36" lcd which melted when struck by lightening ! and my camera which was only worth £200 and was stolen from me while on holiday It all happened in 1 year but before that I had 27years claim free Premiums more than doubled and it has taken me 3 years to get the premiums back down!!!! I certainly wouldnt have claimed for the camera had I known.
