A great Film, I enjoyed it in the cinema and bought the DVD, have seen it several times.
You get a better understanding of it if you see it again. Yep, I know what you mean (nudge-nudge-wink-wink)

I think I have an understanding of it ... it was just so grim and a sad ending not saved by the writer's act of atonement in giving life to the couple's doomed love in the pages of her book.
