Frost and fog this morning. the temperature is -8°C at the moment, it hasn't been above -4°C for several days now. Never mind, it's the shortest day tomorrow!

Good morning all, from a cold Dover - no more snow yet, but I have to and try to find a train at 9 o'clock.... happy birthday, delphfolk, keep warm!

wbm - many years ago, I had a clockwork Hornby train set. When I left home, it went into the shed and after several years of rust, my dad threw it out. We didn't imagine that they would be marketable items now!

Good morning all, and happy birthday Delphfolk. We're still snowed in, although a snow plough has been through the next lane, so if we can just get to that one we may be able to get to the main road. If not, it'll have to be a 3 mile walk to the nearest shop; I don't mind the walking but you should see how steep the hill is! Have a happy and safe day.

Morning all. A whiteout here in Daarzet and thick snow sttill falling. No traffic to be seen or heard and I think it's another day in front of the fire with a book for me. OH is on holiday, thank goodness, so won't have to risk life and limb.

Like a skating rink here. I helped my husband get off this morning and I thought Id got frostbite in my fingers even with gloves on. Not looking forward to getting to work later and then home again at 7pm
