Is there any reason to think they are here illegally?
These stories crop up from time to time and usually fade away as those concerned are released without charge. I'm sure the police etc are usually following up leads but I sometimes feel they just want to be seen to be doing something

Oh dear, oh dear, once again a 'shoot the messenger' story.

It is amazing here we have a potential lethal terrorist attack that apparently has been thwarted by our ever vigilant security forces, and yet although taken very seriously by intelligence agencies in Europe, Pakistan and the U.S, some members of AB, rather than rejoice at the news would rather make cheap skits at the Daily Mail, the police, and myself.

Perhaps if there ever comes a time when we witness a similar attack to that one that took place in Mumbai, India, two years ago, these same people will be crying out and asking why they weren't better protected?

If this is an al qaeda sleeper cell, they are unlikely to use people who are illegal as they could be arrested for that at any time.

A recent drone attack in Pakistan, killed two white british converts, 'Gerry' and 'Steve'. If they were planning a Mumbai style attack, then some recruits like Gerry and Steve would be better than an illegal immigrant.

Makes you wonder why we have troops fighting in Afghanistan when we have more terrorists living here on home soil? We should seriously consider wher the battle ground is. To answer the question that was asked ...

Since most of the men who were arrested are British, I guess they are here legally ... unless being a Muslim automatically makes you illegal despite having been born in the UK.
