I would disagree, Mick.

She was deeply steeped in musicality and whether she was, personally, a great singer or musician, her influences and the musicians and styles she incorporated into her own songs was wonderful.

It's a shame we never got the full range of her 'Cuban-stage'.

It's also a shame that to the average person in the street she will be known for guesting in a Pogues song and singing about a bloke that swears he's Elvis.
