Who were the four horsemen of the apocalype?
14 Answers
Not sure if this is the right category for this question, but here it is anyway? I am writing a poem about the four horsemen of the apocalypse, but not entirely sure who they all were. I have googled this many times, but can not get a straight answer from this source. Can any of you ABers let me know who they all were?
Thanks in advance for any helpful replies.

I thought it was War, Famine, Pestilence and Death, but I was out the day they came knocking.

You could check for your self in The Book of the Revelation of John, Chapter 6, verses 1-8. I thin the imagery in the King James Version is the mst striking, but other versions ae close. New American Standard (NASB) calls the "Pale Horse" of KJV the "Ashen Horse". You'll see by the things the riders carry that there are really only 3 "plagues although thre are f horsemen. The First seems to be the "Announcer" and carries the bow and a crown and went out conquering and to conquer, but the Second actually has the power to administer war, while the Third demonstrates that while food will be available, few will be able to afford it, hence "Famine". The final or Fourth administers death by number of methods, also seemingly including war... he of the "Ashen" or "Pale" horse...
