Just got it changed by green flag man...his words to me were:

"thats the worst tyre I've ever had to change"

Referring to the contraption that holds the spare tyre to underneath the car!

And that people is why I don't do it myself!!! That's two of them now that have found it bl**dy difficult (3 including my dad!!)
Whoever first thought it would be a good idea to suspend spare wheels underneath cars should be shot (OK, maybe not that extreme, but you get the idea)
A bit of advise for you Dad Loobie, Drop the spare wheel out of it's carriage & cover the spare with 2 & 3 Bin Liners & make sure the bags are secure with Tape etc, the screw down winder to lower the spare get your Dad to cover the thread with copper grease, this stops rust build up on the thread & make easy removal & lowering.
Do what I do, keep it in the boot!
