My mother asked me the origins of the name "Boxing Day"

I replied that it was the day for stress-outs and family fights. She believed me.

Then I gave her the real logic for the name.

It does confuse the Americans - so that is no bad thing....they only get tomorrow off in lieu of Christmas Day, poor things.
