No thank you, it costs too much to get to London from here just for shopping!
oh but of course scotman, i dont shop anywhere else ;o)
I last shopped in Harrods in 1965, my sister's MIL used to live round the corner from Knightsbridge.
Mind you that is not quite true, I can't think what it was but I did buy something mail order from them a while back.
No fear. I don't want to get crushed in the rush. The sales near me looked bad enough. No way I would go to London to get the same effect.
When I lived in London (born an bred) I was stopped from going into Harrods because I wasn't dressed properly.
It`s interesting to see that Harrods have their sale at the same time as all the other shops these days. Only a few years ago they used to start it in the first week of January to place them apart from other lowly retail outlets. It`s too expensive for me but I like looking around the food hall though.
it was interesting to see the sales in London on the news today - the greatest number of people shopping appeared from their faces to be from the Middle and Far East.
I shopped in Harrods when I lived in London for a year. I sent my mum a very nice Harrod's hamper one Christmas, she reckoned it was the best present she ever received.
If I go to Harrod's sale I will miss Netto's sale, so it's a no-brainer for me!
Yep Mike, Aldi's have ski socks in tomorrow, I don't want to miss that!
I can't recall the last time I "went shopping" - that's what the Internet's for...
