Have you thought that probably she is attempting to do to you (or perhaps someone else) what you intend to do to her? Looks like you’ve gotten her message because you want to retaliate by reciprocating in the same manner as her.

Here’s one – People who live in glass houses should not throw stones!
....or walk around in the nude.

easiest way to not be irked by it, is to ignore it.

"...'any ideas?"

Yes, remove her if that's how you feel.
remove her ....email your friends let them know you have done it because you don't want to make an unpleasant situation worse and ignore her...
you get the moral high ground by behaving like an adult if she then starts sniping at you she will look pretty pathetic....
You could always just block seeing any posts from her. That way you don't see what she is putting but you are still showing as friends with her so no awkwardness for you with your mutual friends. It's better to let things like this go, be the better person :o)
Inthink the key phrase in rowanwitch's post is 'behaving like an adult'.

I have a friend on facebook who is so bloody miserable all the time. Every status is about how terrible life is, how everyone is a ****. It's all doom and gloom and I'm always desperate to reply saying for god sake cheer the hell up!

Anyway, if there is anything nasty she has posted on facebook, you could copy and paste it with quotation marks to one her her nicey nicey status updates as a little reminder.

Just block her, you can choose not to see her status updates.

That, or dump this image on her wall every time she says something fatuous, cloying & twee? http://andthisisforyo...r.com/post/2403831882
post a garth brooks You tube video to male her feel special., hang on I;'ll get you one just now

er...thanks for the lectures... thanks to the few that actually answered my question too her statuses are not aimed at me at all in any way...and i dont hate her either...we have not fallen out either and i occasionally spend time in her company and she is ok...but i remember all the rotten things she has said and done too....i just find it MILDLY irritating that she can be quite nasty inside, yet seem to believe her self a chilled spritual person with love and blessing for the all mankind ...i dont mind seeing her statuses either...id like her to stop being a cow and actually look inside herself a bit before she spouts this stuff that couldnt be further from the truth if it was on mars....
well you won't do that by posting on FB.....
How many psychologists does it take to change a lightbulb?
only one but the lightbulb has to want to change........
I'd leave it, if I was you.
You don't have the courage of your convictions.
*If* you wanted to bring to her attention the fact that she is a <<real bitch, snide, 2 faced, gossipy cruel>> and <<what a cow she herself is>> you'd say it.

But you want some mealy mouthed way of nudging her into behaving in a better manner without causing her offence.

It ain't going to happen................

its no crusade belive me...id kind of like her to suspect the comment is about her status but not really be sure ...and if she coments then shes acknowldging her true self...if you get me.. this is no big deal...its not a big issue and i barely notice her most of th time...i just thought id like to comment sometimes in the future...so no need to psycho analyse this,,,its not a big vendetta or anything
sorry but still not sure why you would do this?

thats fine woofgang...you dont need to understand...i do not need to explain it...i have asked a question and want answers - not more questions.
I can't make a useful suggestion without knowing what you want to achieve and why.
