taken my decorations down

so, food is all eaten (well, nearly), visiting relatives have all gone home, washing machine has been on none stop this afternoon, and i've taken my christmas decorations down.
phew, all over for another year :o)
heading to london for new year to see it in on the banks of the thames. look out for me, i'll be the one in the lilac fleece hat with streamers on it, waving ;)

It reminded me of when I would leave for work in the morning, Mrs sqad would take my briefcase down and would shout "Is there anything else you want me to take down? and I would reply.......................LOL LOL
It was like Morecambe and Wise "tea urn"........she always fell for " is there anything else you want me to take down? ......;-)

You're not supposed to take them down until 12th night. I say that with my tongue firmly in my cheek, because all that I had up was a string line with the christmas cards dangling from it and as soon as Christmas Day was over I took them down and put them in a bag for the recycling man. And if I could persuade people not to send me Christmas Cards I wouldn't even have that problem. Yes, I know I am an old misery. And actually, I had a really lovely Christmas,.
