As pigs will eat anything, would it be wrong to feed them pork?

Now I'm very likely on the wrong track here... But didn't feeding cows beef make them ill? And similarly, I'm sure I read that if humans eat humans they can become ill too(after watching The Road, I'm not quite that angry with humanity yet!)... So based entirely on that vague logic, I would say it's probably not the best idea.

When I was young all the waste food from school kitchens etc was collected as pig swill and fed to pigs. Inevitably this would have included some pork, bacon and other pig products.

During the second world war, the ministry of agriculture supplied farmers with cattle feed that contained chicken waste which eventually caused damage to the herds, it was not good for them and herds had to be destroyed, (My Grandad was one of the dairy farners that this happened to) and the milk he sold had already been consumed by humans.

Pigs are certainly cannibalistic and will eat piglets and dead pigs.
They will eat anything and everything, including pork and pork products in its feed. It wasn't just a ham sandwich that may have caused the swine fever, it was infected, illegally imported ham.
It was probably something else entirely as the pig had eaten and digested the evidence long before it started showing symptoms.

You are right carlton. If you climb into a pigsty and fall down, you had better get up quickly or you might never get up again. If a sow has just had piglets she will attack you so that's another danger to watch out for.

A human is supposed to taste like pork - so maybe chucking one of us into them is like them eating a bacon buttie.......do they like us with black pepper, mustard, ketchup or HP sauce, ( come to think of that, HP sauce = human-pig sauce; no wonder it is brown and fruity).
