It works by improving the circulation so that more blood reaches the brain. It's known that it can help older people overcome memory lapses, and last year, researchers at Surrey University found that people aged 30 to 59 do better on short-term memory tests just a few hours after taking the supplement. The most effective dose was 120mg a day - but it's important to take a quality, standardised extract of Ginkgo, with 25% active ingredient."
