Got it - but sorry, it's not Greek - it appears to be Russian.........

Yeah i think it is Russian

Its the bottom of a plate - and I think is telling you about the design - I dont read Russian - the bottom lines has a design number i think

should be straight forward - any Eastern European was made to read Russian in large quantities, ask one of them

I've emailed the pic to my friend in Ukraine who speaks both Ukrainian (v. similar to Russian) and fluent Russian. Watch this space.. I'll reply as soon as I hear something!

So far I've just received a shortened version by text message. I'm getting the full translation tonight. Apparently it's 'old' Russian .. I'll post the answer tonight.,. hopefully.
