Live in the north of England own a small property. Need to move south to look after mother who lives in a housing assoc property. cannot sell house at moment but can rent out. We would have right to take over tenancy but is this allowed if we still own

And just to add, if you didn't know, there are massive price differences so even if you sold your house you may not be in a position to buy. I'm (sorta reluctantly) having to move from south to the Midlands, and although I didn't fully own it (and couldn't pay the rest which is why I sold up) because I was going the south to north, I was way luckier than if I'd moved the other way.
