In several countries, tickets to football matches are only sold to registered members of the teams' supporters clubs. I'm not sure, but I think that this may apply in Spain.

It's not as hard to get Madrid tickets as you might think - unless its a really big or derby game, you can pick up tickets at the stadium or certain banks in the town, but you need to go a day or two before the game really.
It's also very cheap (compared to premirship - when I get tickets like this it's usually about 25 Euros) and they speak some english at the ticket office too.
If you use one of the agencies listed on the internet, they will get you a ticket but at about �70 it's not cheap. All they do is pay someone local to go and do the above anyway! Their person then drops the tickets at reception at the hotel you've booked (tickets are not posted)

Hi, I travel quite regularly to La Liga games and has already been indicated unless it is big game or at a very small ground tickets are generally available. Under no circumstances buy from an agency. These seats are vastly over priced and never a great seat. If you know the game you want to attend contact the Real Madrid ticket office, you can do this on-line via their official web site. If you want to buy tickets when you get to Madrid the ground is not to far out of the City, just a few stops on the Metro and the ticket windows are open business hours. You can buy tickets on the day of the match however you will find the office busy right up to kick-off time.
